2015: Nepal earthquake
The April 2015 Nepal earthquake killed 8,964 people and injured 21,952 more. It occurred at 11:56 Nepal Standard Time on 25 April 2015, with a magnitude of 7.8Mw or 8.1Mₛ and a maximum Mercalli Intensity of VIII. Its epicenter was east of Gorkha District at Barpak, Gorkha, and its hypocenter was at a depth of approximately 8.2 km. It was the worst natural disaster to strike Nepal since the 1934 Nepal–Bihar earthquake. The ground motion recorded in the capital of Nepal was of low frequency, which, along with its occurrence at an hour where many people in rural areas were working outdoors, decreased the loss of property and human lives.

2019: Amazon on fire
2019 Amazon rainforest wildfires
The 2019 Amazon rainforest wildfires season saw a year-to-year surge in fires occurring in the Amazon rainforest and Amazon biome within Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay, and Peru during that year’s Amazonian tropical dry season. Fires normally occur around the dry season as slash-and-burn methods are used to clear the forest to make way for agriculture, livestock, logging, and mining, leading to deforestation of the Amazon rainforest. Such activity is generally illegal within these nations, but enforcement of environmental protection can be lax. The increased rates of fire counts in 2019 led to international concern about the fate of the Amazon rainforest, which is the world’s largest terrestrial carbon dioxide sink and plays a significant role in mitigating global warming.
2020: Australia on fire

2021: Greece: forest fires: The 2021 Greece wildfires are multiple wildfires burning in Greece since early August 2021, which have killed 3 people, injured at least 20 others and burned dozens of homes, after an historic heatwave for the country with the highest temperatures reaching 47.1 °C (116.8 °F). Authorities have evacuated several villages and towns. According to BBC News, Greece is experiencing the worst heatwave since 1987.

2021: Haiti: Aug. 14, a magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck southwestern Haiti approximately 75 miles west of the capital Port-au-Prince, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).  The earthquake exposed more than 1 million people in the region to very strong to severe shaking, has triggered landslides in mountainous areas, and has resulted in a large number of deaths and extensive damage to buildings and infrastructure, according to preliminary estimates from the news media and Haiti’s civil protection agency. Heavy rainfall from Tropical Storm Grace on Aug. 16 and 17 has compounded the impacts of the disaster, causing flash flooding and additional landslides, and disrupting the earthquake rescue and recovery efforts.  The International Disasters Charter has been activated in support of both the earthquake and floods in Haiti.
